I was skeptical when I first saw Witch Wolf listed on my search especially since I'm not fond of "series". I decided it won't hurt to read the sample. I was hooked and finish reading Witch Wolf and Raven Mask within 2 days sitting. I'm very certain that I would be re-reading these 2 books few times. If you haven't read the 1st book: Witch Wolf, I strongly suggested you to start there. Although Raven Mask incorporate and summarize events that happen on Witch Wolf, it doesn't do justice to Witch Wolf. Also, it makes you hunger for more when you can understand the relationship between the characters and their personalities from the beginning. If you are looking for book that heavily focus on mystery, I don't think this is the right book for you. The book focus more on characters relationship and the supernatural. That being said, if you are not the type that like fantasy, it may also not be your cup of tea. If you are looking for romance, you should start from Witch Wolf to savor what the series offer. Also, reading from the beginning make the sex scenes in Raven Mask much hotter!!! (For me anyway.... I like being able to relate to the characters I'm reading before sex involves. Shallow casual sex is not my thing.)Anyway can't wait to read Bloody Claws soon.

It was really good I like the characters these books short of remind me of Anita Blake a little but they could a have been longer I would of for them too be
Love the characters and the plot twists. It's a very creative and different perspective, which tickles me. The writing style is a little forced in some places, but it's still miles and above your average lesbian novel. And I'm willing to forgive a lot for such interesting characters. Well done! I'll keep reading as long as you keep writing them.
The second in a series. All of the books in this series were a pleasant surprise and I actually read them all in about a week because they were just that darn good. I would definitely recommend and one of the books just got nominated for an award so I expect big things from this author.
This is a continuation of the Kassandra Lyall series and I enjoyed it as much as the first. Weres, vampires, and faeries who are also lesbians. What's not to like?
The story is very nice writen it has a good plot (ok I could tell very early who is the bad guy) the main characters are lovely and it's impossible as a reader not to love them.It's the 1st lesbian book in this genre that I read and fills it's promises. wow, I've tried others in this genre, their main story was sex and romance. this serie is the first one who has a plot, action, romance and sex. I hope book 3 will be out soon.
psI recommend to start with book 1 "witch wolf"
Ms. Pennington weaves wonderful tales that involve perfectly fleshed out characters, realistic dialogue and tight action plots. I feel as though I would recognize them on the street if they were real. Her romantic and love scenes are at times tender and others raw and extremely passionate, as in everyday life. Makes me actually feel like a voyeur ;-). Please read her tales. You won't be disappointed.
First I need to admit that I like most vampire books so my review may be bias. That being said, this is the second book in this series and though the writing was good the plot or story line was weaker than the plot outlined in the first book. IMHO there should have been at least two more chapters in the book. One that introduced and garnered a dislike for the villain, and one that discussed the family dynamics of both Timothy Nelson and his girlfriend which would have helped the reader better understand the circumstances of their situation. With that said, I still gave the book 4 stars because of the author's exquisite portrayal of the love story between Kassandra and Lenore. Pennington is building a set of characters that can fit into any genre and work well, thus not limiting future story plots. She (Pennington) is a good writer and once she learns to flesh out the stories' plot a little more, she will have an award winning series on her hands. Yes, this series is worth the read.
